    • Trail UpdateTapia CYN CLOSED From Oak Tree-Well just talked to land owner who posted 5 NO TRESSPASSING SIGNS AND SIGNS SPECIFIC TO TRAIL RIDERS. Two weeks ago someone crashed their Scooter in the intersection with the rock wall ride and is now filed a lawsuit against the Property owner. He in turn closed the thru road, as advised by his legal council. You are TRESSPASSING thru his marked signs if you take the fire road. He asked me to spread the word. He was very nice and honest with me. That guy who crashed was NOT WEARING A HELMET.

    • Trail UpdateBe careful there are several hundred white bee hives near the top of this trail with bees all over the place. They dont bother you but they are everywhere. Also rattlesnake sighting on the dirt road prior to the houses and white gate. Be Careful...

    • Trail UpdateThe Castaic area is super weak. Go to the San Gabriel mountains to do "real" mountain biking.

    • Trail UpdateTapia Canyon-Had enough rain this winter that the mustard and sage are out in force, clogging the trails. In need of a good weed wacking session. With all the sage comes the beehives and angry bees everywhere on this ride. Got stung on the back of the neck, pretty much ruined the next 1/2 hour of my ride. Be careful and stop for the equestrians.

    • Trail UpdateHills East Of The Prison-The drop offs and Jumps are sick. Need someone to go up there with a weed wacker. Overgrown. Don't get caught on the prison grounds. Can enter off of Rye Cyn./ Copperhill. Just past Walmart on the left side. Don't crash and don't fuck it up.

    • Trail UpdateTapia Cyn Singletrack-Well, not on the BMX track. The jumps are too short and steep. Probably not worth it, especially on an XR250R with very soft suspension.
But the rest of the area is quite fun for the XR. You can do alot of exploring but it's closed to motorcycles. I've ridden there a couple of times on my KTM, but I'm afraid of getting caught, so I ride the bicycle. Further north on San Fran fire road it may be legal once your in the Nat'l Forest.

    • Trail UpdateTapia Cyn Singletrack-Short but fun singletrack, just beware of motorcycles and horseback riders and not too friendly locals. If you take San Fran fire road south towards Valencia it dead ends to the prison. Take notice of the sweet singletrack inside the prison boundarys. Very tempting but for Sherrifs only ! The fireroad dead ends at a prison gate, but a few hundred yards before that there's a tight singletarck on the left that empties onto another old fireroad. Hang a right at the next singletrack and follow it down to a very fun downhill/BMX course. This is a fun freeride area too, with a teeter-totter and some ladder drops built by some insane freeriders. The trail will dump you out at Copperhill in Valencia. Long road ride back to Castaic unless you want to climb back to Tapia. Another option to ride the downhill course only is to park at Rio Norte Jr. High and cross Copperhill and ride around a chainlink fence. You'll have to do a bit of climbing first.
